Transparency International Bulgaria took part in a training event organized by the Agency for Public Enterprises and Control held on April 15, 2025, at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
The event, titled "State-Owned Enterprises and Sustainability," brought together over 160 representatives from public entities across the country.
Kalin Slavov, Executive Director of TI-Bulgaria, focused his presentation on the importance of business integrity as an essential element of sound corporate governance. He emphasized that sustainability in the public sector can only be achieved when mechanisms for accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership are in place.
In light of Bulgaria’s aspiration to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), aligning with the organization’s high standards becomes even more significant—especially for public enterprises.
We believe that, through joint efforts, we can turn today’s challenges into new opportunities for Bulgaria.
Transparency International Bulgaria’s participation was part of the organization's broader commitment to fostering an anti-corruption environment and promoting good governance practices in both the public and private sectors.
