The training is jointly organized by the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact and Transparency International Bulgaria – organizations with expertise, recognition and an active role in promoting ethical, responsible and sustainable business behavior.
The training brought together representatives of business, the public sector, and civil society organizations, who discussed how a systematic approach to integrity and transparency can become a real competitive advantage and factor for sustainability.
Among the highlights of the program were:
- the importance of corruption risk assessment and prevention mechanisms;
- building ethical standards and a code of conduct;
- implementing effective internal reporting channels;
- the role of management and the ISO 37001 standard for anti-bribery systems;
- practical tools for small and medium-sized enterprises that want to implement anti-corruption policies with limited resources.
The training also included the presentation of the new comprehensive manual "Anti-Corruption 360° - Corruption Risk Management", prepared by the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact. The manual offers a comprehensive methodology for building an anti-corruption program - from risk assessment and internal policies to monitoring and performance indicators.
Participants received access to practical templates and tools, including a gift and hospitality register, conflict of interest declarations, and checklists for third-party audits.
The training emphasized that corruption risk management is not just a regulatory requirement, but a strategic investment in trust, reputation and sustainable growth.
Integrity is not only an ethical choice, it is the foundation of competitiveness and long-term success," the organizers emphasized during the closing session.
