On September 19, was constituted the Council, as well as a Citizens' Council to it in connection with the implementation of the recommendations made by the EC, a part of which is the TI-Bulgaria.
The report on the rule of law in EU for 2022 is part of the new control mechanism for the member states, on which depends the allocation of EU funds.
During the constituting of the Council, Mr. Kalin Slavov, executive director of TI-Bulgaria, made a statement to remind that the rule of law is directly related with the priorities of the National anticorruption strategy 2021-2027, part of which is the Business Integrity topic.
In his speech, Mr. Slavov highlighted that the tools for encouraging good governance in public administration, business and municipalities should be taken into account. We are sure that implementing positive incentives and business integrity practices will assist in overcoming the corruption deficits in the Bulgarian business sector, which will also lead to an increase in investments and financing both at the national and regional level in the smaller municipalities in Bulgaria.
