TI-Bulgaria took an active part in the discussion panel "Transparent Governance - Challenges and Opportunities for Business", which was held as part the framework of the Governance for Growth business forum, a joint initiative of Confindustria Bulgaria, Global Compact Italia and the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact.

During the panel, Mr. Kalin Slavov, Executive Director of TI Bulgaria, specifically emphasized the role of integrity and accountability for business not only as an ethical choice, but also as a strategic advantage in a competitive environment.

He emphasized that transparent governance reduces corruption risks, supports trust among partners, and facilitates access to investments.

Among the main topics discussed during the forum were:

How to implement standards for integrity and sustainable management in companies?

The challenges facing businesses in adapting to reporting requirements.

The role of institutions and public-private partnerships in supporting open government.

Good practices and international experience that can be adapted in Bulgaria.

The panel featured a number of leading representatives from the public and private sectors, including Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, Bilyana Mladenova from UniCredit Bulbank, Luca Medizza from (Protiviti) and Giorgio Gavioli from Synergiz. They addressed issues on how companies can integrate sustainable management into their daily practice, from codes of ethics and internal controls, to accountability and transparency in internal processes.

The forum brought together businesses, institutions and experts to discuss how transparent and ethical governance can serve as a driver for sustainability and long-term success.

TI Bulgaria participation in this dialogue is part of its long-term mission to promote the implementation of business integrity standards and improve the management culture in Bulgaria.
