The Ministry of Economy and Industry is among the most involved institutions in the process of Bulgaria’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The responsibilities of the MEI relate to corporate governance, trade and consumer policy. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Nikolay Pavlov during the opening of the forum ‘Sustainable Development and Business Integrity: A forum for policy debate and practical solutions’. Pavlov stressed the importance of Bulgaria’s decision to join the OECD.
